It's over.

Mom died somewhere between 3:00 and 3:20 this afternoon.  I was in the room so my brother J. could get some sleep (on the cot the nurses brought in), and blimix was in the room so I could be.  I hadn't been able to deal, before.  It was very quiet, very peaceful.  As I hoped, I didn't notice the moment my mom stopped breathing.

My condolences. The cost of living is dying. That sad fact may give our time here meaning, but it is still a sad fact, I think.
