Memorial service
My mom's memorial service will be Saturday, January 7, at 3:00 PM. It will be in the Appleton Room of the Francis Cabot Lowell Mill in Waltham, where she lived.
From points West:
- Take I-90 East to Exit 14 - Route 95/128 North
- Take 128 a few exits, to: Waltham/Weston, Route 20 East
- Take Route 20 (Main St., Waltham) a couple of miles, to: Moody Street. At the intersection of Main and Moody, there's a bank on one corner, and the Waltham Common on another corner.
- Turn right onto Moody Street. (There's a right-turn lane at the intersection)
- Take the first left after the bridge, onto Pine Street.
- Turn left at the movie theatre, into the Embassy Parking Lot*.
- The river is visible from the parking lot, which extends on the other side of the garage. Find the path along the river, and cross the wooden footbridge.
- Turn right when you come off the footbridge. There will be a patio area on your left. There's a green awning over the door opening onto the patio marked "190." Go through the door into the Appleton Room.
I believe that any of my Boston friends who might want to come know how to get to Moody Street in Waltham. If that's not true, leave a comment, and I'll get them for you. Or, if you'd prefer to map it yourself, use the theatre's address: 16 Pine Street, and then follow the directions from the parking lot.
*Parking here is either very low cost, ($1/12 hrs.) or free on Saturdays.
