Alison had been looking forward to this day for weeks. She'd been careful to keep it quiet, though. Longshot loved surprises. She hoped that he would love today's more than most

Longshot blinked a little. He had been told to stay in bed as Alison had dashed to the bathroom. Normally, he would follow her in and get a cool, wet washcloth for her. He would also crouch down beside her and gently pull her hair back. Though her greeting also kind of confused him.
"Happy What Who Day?" Father's got a day, too? Huh. He gently slipped an arm around her and tried to gauge how close she wanted to be held this morning.
"Father's Day," she repeated, slightly amused. She was glad he was only holding her with one arm. Any tighter squeeze might send her bolting for the bathroom again. She really didn't want to be sick on him. Especially not today.
"Like Mother's Day, only it's for you Daddies." She looked up at him and managed a smile. "And you're already a great father. You take care of me and the babies better than anyone else ever could. You deserve a day like this."
"Once I can get up and move around without turning green, I have some surprises for you."
"Oh. Huh." He scratched his neck with his free hand. Well, he was a Daddy already. Though he wasn't sure about the deserving part. He was just doing what came naturally, making sure his loved ones were happy. Though he had no idea how to figure out magical beans' happiness.
"Surprises?" He blinked again. "Well, I know I'm going to have babies with you, so that can't be the surprise."
She did look a little pale, so he was not going to rush the getting up thing.
"No, that's not today's surprise. But, it is still the best surprise I've ever gotten." She smiled softly at the memory and snuggled into him a little more. "These aren't quite that good, but I think you might like them anyway."
Her stomach was flip flopping between being queasy and hungry. Half of the surprises were on the fourth floor and the other half were outside. They might have to stop for breakfast in between.
"I'm hungry," she agreed and nodded as she followed him up the stairs. Lately, she was always hungry. Well, when she wasn't nauseated. "I want bacon. And waffles... ooh, and strawberry jam."
Mmmm. Strawberries.
"But, I'll cook since it's your day. What do you want, sweetheart?" She smiled at him and bumped her hip lightly against his as they entered the kitchen.
"Mmm." He considered it hard. "Blueberry pannycakes?"
No, he had never cared to learn the correct word or pronunciation. He liked pannycakes better. His kids would like eating pannycakes. Especially if Daddy did that amazing flip thing when Mommy wasn't looking. Even better if he didn't get her pannycakes stuck to the ceiling...
"Blueberry pannycakes it is." Alison grinned and gave him another peck on the cheek before she let him go and wandered over to the fridge to get the breakfast stuff. She poured them each a glass of chocolate milk -- from the industrial sized jug she bought for Dakota's visit -- and got herself a banana to munch on as she mixed the batter.
The ever-present radio on the kitchen counter played soft, instrumental music as she cooked. And maybe danced a little.
Longshot flopped down in his chair at the table. He watched his wife, clad only in a nightgown dance with some interest. It was very hard for him not to be interesting in any way that Alison moved. Especially with her lack of most clothing.
"My compliments to the best dressed cook I've ever seen."
As Alison worked her way up his neck, Longshot decided he needed to be sloppier when eating pancakes. Maybe next time he would do so naked. The guests would definitely have to be sent out for that one...
He stopped playing with her finger in his mouth once her teeth found the soft part of his ear. He groaned softly and arched off the floor. He did it again as her leg rubbed against him.
It took a bit of will to push her finger completely out of his mouth with his tongue. But he had something very important to say.
Her hands gripped his hips and then slid up the flat of his stomach and across his chest. She rested them on his shoulders, using the hold for balance as she moved her leg against him. Her teeth released his earlobe and then she sucked softly on the soft skin.
She giggled breathlessly when he groaned and she released him to sit back a little. She smiled down at him, teasing. "What do you want me for, hmmm?"
Longshot looked a little confused as to why he was even asked that. His body was telling her everything. He squirmed a bit and tried to find a thought for an answer.
"Want... mmm .... want you for forever."
Well, that wasn't quite right for the moment, but it did work on general principles.
"I like the sound of that..." She grinned and rolled her hips slowly, pressing down as her leg teased him. He looked so cute when he was confused like that.
"Question is... how to best give you what you want? Hmm..."
