Taking a break.

It is a difficult thing for a mother to leave her newborn children. Alison doesn't think of it as "leaving", really. It's more that she's handed them over to two people who would have snatched them away sooner or later, anyway. Somehow, she got even less argument than she thought she would when she asked the twins' live-in grandparents to watch ( Read more... )

Longshot sloooooooowly pushed himself off Alison. He didn't really want to. But he made himself do it. He settled down and scratched his belly.

"I guess we should. If the grandparents will let them go." Also, if they hadn't switched babies yet. Hrm.

Alison sat up slowly and crossed her legs. As much as she wanted to pout, she didn't. It wasn't his fault or hers. And she's got two beautiful babies to console herself with.

"You distract them. I'll grab the babies and run," she joked and gave him a smile.

"Hmm." Longshot considered how to distract either of his parents from their grandbabies. That was a hard task. As both were probably still snuggling whichever baby they had. Maybe substitution. Did they have sacks of potatoes light enough?

"Maybe we should remind them that 'babysit' means you have to give the baby back eventually." She chuckled softly and reached for her bra. She didn't want to get dressed, but she wasn't going to go grabbing her babies back from her in-laws while she was topless.

Alison would have to wait. The little ones were only two weeks old. Longshot heard babies didn't start walking until around a year old. So, the Mojoworlder would have to settle for chasing Alison around the castle.

"Hmm. I think I'm trapped. And getting soggier." His kids could produce the spit.

Babies! Alison rivaled Longshot's impatience where babies were concerned. Still, there were plenty of good things to look forward to in the meantime. She wanted to see them laugh and smile.

"Do you need rescuing, Daddy?" She grinned.

Hana was happily gumming Daddy's finger. Alison wondered if the baby was hungry. They were both acting like they might be.

"I think so. I think I'll be in more trouble once Aiden finds my nipple through the damp shirt." That was not a sensation he particularly wanted. He wiggled his finger a little in Hana's mouth.

Oh, how his wife tried not to giggle at the mental image of her infant son trying to nurse off of his Daddy. It wouldn't be funny to Longshot for sure. Probably not to the baby, either.

She reached over and gently pulled the damp cotton out of Aiden's mouth and plucked him out of Longshot's arms. "Are you hungry, little man?" She smiled at him and rocked him a little.

No one was around and she was getting better at it, besides. So she carefully pulled up the bottom of her shirt and adjusted the nursing bra so that she could feed Aiden.
