Ahhh, if only it were really that simple. One of the things those of us in complementary modalities have to remember and pass on to our clients, particularly in our lawsuit filled society, is that the idea of "alternative" medicine is also a thing of the past. I am particularly careful to speak to these modalities as "complementary". I don't subscribe myself to the idea of separatism in providing health care services to promote wellness of mind-body-spirit. To me it's not traditional western medical care versus complementary modalities; it's all working together to promote the wellness connection in the client

aha I wondered if you'd snag me on this. Actually I'm a college administrator, am director of a massage therapy pre-license curriculum among others, and am a certified hypnotherapist.
I like to try different ways of dealing with medical problems, if I find something that works for me, then it is a bonus, if not I can always take what the doc prescribes,,,,,there has been a lot of studies and press over here about the fact that placebo's and alternative remedies being given to the same number of people and that the placebo's worked as well as the alternative medicines, which may go someway to proving the power of the mind in overcoming some illnesses, but if you find something that works for you then that is what matters in the end I think,,,,hugs
