Who killed J.R.

Ah, I believe there was once a television series dealing with something like this. Whithering Heights, or the Westing game .... The second may have been a book actually. People do enjoy a good family taboo. A daughter from another mother, a brother and sister's forbidden love. A woman with a love for a man who is not her husband. On paper or ( Read more... )

Dear Emily Bronte, who was hardly a looker by anyone's standards, never quite made it to daytime television status, darling. The same can be said of that child's literature-- never, I fear, a television program. Though both a movie at one point.

Ah, thank you. Also, as little good as it will do, could you please stop torturing Artemis?

I'll put it into the realm of consideration. And I consider it educating, not torturing, but if you really have that little esteem for the boy's continued learning, as I said, the suggestion will be considered.

There is educating in a proper sense and educating in order to amuse oneself. I fear your form of educating falls into the later.

If you plan to educate him in the proper sense, then by all means do so, however in the later sense is simply to annoy him and amuse yourself.

The Westing game? I don't believe I've heard of that one before...

Strange curse day, isn't it?

It isn't a very interesting book. Though you may like it. It's a bit ... odd.

Yes. I'm glad neither of us are affected.

Odd? Well that's always interesting. I wonder if the library would have it.

Oh me too. It's like East Enders all over the network today. I think this one might be one of those repeats, yeah?

Are you referring to ... I'm not quite sure.

Jackie used to make me watch all sorts of that kind of rubbish on the telly. Bloody... soap operas, I believe. Stories of brothers swapping wives, and, and... long lost siblings stealing each others mates, and... other rubbish like that. Quite strange.

Oi, I'm so glad I'm not effected by this nonsense today. Hope I'm never cursed again...

[ooc: Cloney's all awkward, but he's trying to be friends with Waverly. <3]

So long as you are within the City you will be.

Have you read the books yet?

Oh, lovely. I'm taking it that it doesn't effect everyone every single time? That would be quite a good thing...

Ah... started one of them, yeah.

Precisely. I doubt the City would have as much fun if that weren't the case.

Are you learning anything?

I've no idea what you're talking about, Waverly.

Of course not. You are affected by the curse. You think the Master is your wife. Which, is a bit disturbing.

I know that these sorts of marriages are confusing, but it is important to remember that he is the husband in this case.

Mmmm. Considering things, I suppose it would be hard to see you as the husband. Even Mat dominated you.

All the same however, this marriage is a creation of the City curse. Midnight cannot come fast enough.

There is no need for that. He is impossible to talk to.
