Prophecies Galore
Yesterday I headed off to see Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Man's Chest, which was not better than the first one, but was by far more amusing as far as the amount of humor and improbability of it all was concerned...but the most interesting things seemed to happen after the movie.
At any rate afterward I we needed to call home to get picked up, but unfortunately the pay phones were being temperamental and decided they weren't going to work for us. So we walked around a bit and I said to Shikuchi and littlemetaldrop (who had accompanied me) "I bet if we walk around we'll find someone we know with a cell phone." And lo and behold, two minutes or so later we run into Stilts and his gang and one of them has a cellphone. So I make the call to get us a ride and we go sit in the food court.
Well we get to talking about Ashley because I met her in the mall, and small world that it is, Shikuchi and LMD knew her from Japanese Classes, so we get around to talking about how I wish she was with us so we could watch her play DDR (but mainly because I wanted to challenge her again myself).
Anyway I had earlier mentioned wanted to play laser storm and, strangely enough, a group of people (two guys and a girl, about college age) come up to us and ask if we want to join in a group game of laser storm once they gathered up a few more people (for 6 on 6 teams), and so I said we would if we were still there when they got the people (which unfortunately we weren't)...anyway, that was score #3 for me.
So we're sitting there and decide to send out a scout for the car after they walk off(LMD ended up volunteering) so of she went, leaving me and shikuchi to talk. However, shikuchi wants a gumball, so she goes over and gets an orange one and comes back complaining about how it is the second time she's gotten an orange one from that machine.
Then, she goes to get a second and comes back with another orange XD, so I ask for a quarter and tell her I want a blue. I go over, and lo and behold a blue pops out and I spend the rest of the time happily munching on it.
Then about a minute later, LMD returns and says that Ashley is outside, and so we all get to talk with her outside, we walk in and we agree to walk around with her...but being me I say we'll have to leave soon, then clap my hand over my mouth as they all glare at me (for being psychic) because they didn't want to leave yet. Then as we start walking into the mall, I notice out ride waiting by the curb outside, and point it out, making it 5/5 for me.
And finally, on the way home, we are told there is pizza waiting for us at the house, and earlier in the food court I had said that there would likely be something to eat when we got back to my place, likely pizza (XD) and this it was the final prediction come true, for a grand total of 6 in a row in one day...kinda spooky eh?...As it is they said they'd be accompanying me to the mall more often from now on. (and we're not even gonna go into how many people started talking to me, quite a few of whom I didn't even know).
