I began the semester hating the way painting smelled and felt. As usual, it's become an obsession and now I feel like I want more and more of it. I spend more time on it than photography, even. Look at ( this baby's )

I am obsessed with fortune cookies and astrology.
But, leaving things to mere chance is scary.

Some mornings I think I'm done with alcohol

and I'm probably full of shit anyway.

maybe I just don't think it's that cool.
or, people that cut loose while sober are cooler.

at mile ten your kneecaps feel like they're being compacted and slammed into their sockets, but something makes you keep going.
it might be the blood rushing through your body, filling your ears with the sound of a hot ocean.
or it might be how strong you feel.
how invincible.
