Monday mornings. Most people probably didn't look forward to those as much as Lilith did. Although, really, she was just looking forward to doing something productive instead of worrying about her friends. That was the main reason she was dressed, preened to perfection, and walking into the building that held the Witch Weekly offices at barely ( Read more... )

Skylar had been running late that morning, her schedule still all messed up from being off most of the previous week. She was going to blame the after effects of the potions rather than the fact that she had hit her snooze button about six times ( ... )

It was barely mid morning and already Lilith wanted to go home or out to get blindingly drunk. Ever since the first people arrived on the scene she had been answering questions. Unfortunately she didn't have many answers for her coworkers or the aurors, just a vague description of the man who had almost knocked her over on her way in that morning.

Skylar raked her hand through her hair, watching everyone buzz about around them. Everyone seemed just as shocked or confused as she did, not understanding what anyone could want with fashion photographs or 'The Latest Trends' archived documents.

Though, from the look of her office, she had a sinking feeling that they were looking for something very specific.

"So I guess it's not just my office that looks like a tornado hex blew through?" she groaned, gripping her coffee tighter. It was even that good. "Was anybody here when it happened?"

Shaking her head minutely, Lilith unconsciously bit her lip before replying. "No, not just your office. All the editors' offices are the worst hit ones though." She explained, crossing her arms. This was all so ridiculous. At least her office had been pretty much spared, a stylist apparently not being of interest, but it still felt like an attack on her as well.

"No-one was around as far as I could see. I couldn't find anyone at least. They think I must have walked in just after it happened."
