It might be getting colder now, but it's nice. I've always liked the winter and the spring the most.

It's...nice. You can smell the change in the air, like you can smell a storm approaching.

I'm glad I decided to come up here.

winter, fall, cold air, roof

It may surprise you. Perhaps I learn more from observing--for instance, your dear friendship with Nill.

How is she?

She's fine.

...Why would my friendship with her matter to you? She likes you too.

Ah, someone else who loves the cool air?

Yes. Back where I come from...I used to spend the winters and falls in my home with my sister.

That sounds wonderful. In Japan, I take it?

Winter... Spring...

The underground only had one season, but not everyone seems happy that the weather is getting colder here. I've... been learning a lot, Subaru.

I would have liked to watch the trees change colors here for the fall, but many of them are too sick to be able to do that anymore.

But... have you ever seen real snow before? I don't know a whole lot about it.

I'm glad, Nill.

Winter is always coldest. Snow is...well, you know it's frozen water, so it's cold too. But with enough of it, packed on the ground, it's really nice.

The sakura trees used to be something I liked to watch. Their petals fall in the summer, and they are covered in snow in the winter. And then, in the spring, they come back, little by little.

You would have liked to see them.

Is that how everything looks so white? I wonder if it looks like rain when it's falling.

Sakura trees? Petals... Do they have flowers on the branches? That sounds pretty.

From the sound of it, I think you'd be right.

It looks...like bigger clumps of rain. White rain.

Depending on the tree, yes. Small, fragile petals, usually light colors like white, or pink, and red.

Maybe there will be snow here.
