I just saw the latest trailer - it looks teh awesome. I just hope they don't contradict established history TOO bad. And that Spock doesn't sound too much like Sylar.

From what I understand the canon is being shot through a blender, sort of like they did with Battlestar Galactica.

So it'll be more of a "hollywood tribute to star trek" rather than an actual star trek movie? As long as they advertise it as such before hand that's fine, otherwise there are going to be a whole helluva lot of angry trekkies...

I've heard the plot outline. It is best described as a prequel, reboot, and a sequel. All in one box. I can spill the beans as I know it if you want.

Reboots always involve changes.

If the rabid trekkies want to complain: they need a real job to occupy their time.
