The dead are meant to stay dead, not return and be able to interact with the living realm, even as ghosts. They don't belong on this plane of existence.

Remaining in the living realm after death is nothing but a cursed fate.

[A brief, soft fluttering before a strained voice, having had an unpleasant encounter with Saria's vine, speaks.]

All to true, all to true. Yet far to often it is the living that allow the dead no rest.

Precisely.

Back home, a dead person could be brought back to life through a ritual if someone paid for it to be preformed--of course, that dead person would have no say in whether they want it or not.

The living all think they're doing a favor, but the cost isn't't worth the reward.

Well, I wouldn't say cursed, but I supposed everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Even if it is painfully wrong.

'Painfully wrong'? How so?

I would appreciate some elaboration on that.

Are you speaking from personal opinion, Alice or personal experience?

Isn't that a bit of an invasive question?

Does that really matter in such a place? If it does, I do apologise.

Apology accepted. Some people are simply more private about their personal matters, I'm afraid.
