Why would anybody buy a watch that expensive? He's aware that it tells time, right? It doesn't actually reverse it or anything.

I should hope it reverses it!

But yea, he's always had expensive tastes. Well, I do, too, but not that expensive. Like, I have 18 shoes that probably equal a lot, but like, 5 of his would surpass my total.

I remember going to my homecoming dance in his $300 Prada shoes. That's just how he is... Though, he really needs to learn what to spend money on and what not to spend money on. That money could have gone to something better... Like, I don't know, maybe his bills?

I can't stand people that don't know how to manage their money. I gave my parents a lot of money a few Christmases ago so they could put it toward their bills, and they decided to use it on Christmas presents. That would have been fine, because of the holiday, and I gave them the money to do whatever they wanted with it...except that a day later, they wanted to borrow about the same amount I had already given them. So I ended up sounding like a bitch but I told them that I wanted them to pay me back before I left, and that gave them about three days to cough up the money. I knew they were broke. But the fact is, they'd have more money if they'd stop giving it to two of my sisters that can't figure out how to take care of themselves because they're so used to relying on my parents.

Wow, I ranted. Sorry.

Rant away, that's the point of the journal. :) But I know what you mean about people not managing money the correct way. I was talking to my mother about her sister and her many, many problems.

She divorced her husband, and yet, she still lives in the house with him. Everything they have is in his name because she didn't want to mess with her credit, so everything a bill collector calls they want to talk to him, even though it's her fault. She bought a car that she didn't need and he has nothing. She won't even buy him a cellphone or anything. We think he has dementia or something...

And yea, a few years ago, their oldest son died and they received.. I think it was $100,000... It's all gone. Not one clue what they did with it, but I doubt it was for bills...
