Despite his cheerful attitude for the past little bit, Enzan had actually had reason to feel relatively upset. Not only had he been a few centimeters off losing a finger, but he had completely broken his promise to Netto by now, and he hated breaking promises, doubly so when it meant letting people down. So now he was wandering around the Nexus,

That was how Netto found him a little later. She didn't recognize him as her Enzan at first, but it was an Enzan who needed cheering up, and she was disposed to help, especially since he didn't appear to have a Blues on him to cheer him up.
"Are you all right?" she asked softly, approaching him.

"No," he mumbled, not looking up or recognizing the voice through his mood. "I broke a promise to my girlfriend, I feel like I'm betraying my mother and sister, I had another episode and hurt myself this time, and I think I might really be crazy." He glanced over at the girl, then reeled. "Netto-chan?" Momentarily flustered, he turned red, at a loss for words.

She scowled, not noticing the bandage. "Yes, Enzan. It's me." She held back from saying is there a reason you didn't come see me? and just waited.

He scuffed the ground with his foot and looked down, still not standing up. "'M sorry," he mumbled. "Was scared."

Netto frowned. "That's hardly bad. You're scared, aren't you? You need time, Enzan-kun."

[lighter_shadow]

"I shouldn't be," he muttered. "I shouldn't be scared. They're my family."

"You have every right to be scared in your situation," she tried to comfort him. "No one wants people to think they're crazy."

What if I am, though? he couldn't bring himself to say that out loud to her. So he just nodded.
