Return owl from Albus Dumbledore to Aberforth Dumbledore, dated 2 September 1942

Mar 05, 2007 23:13

Not terribly heavily warded at all, but strongly sealed, in reply to his previous owl:

Dear Aberforth,

As a matter of fact, the matter is rather more pressing than it might have otherwise been. You will meet with me at some point during the next forty-eight hours. It will probably be less embarrassing if you arrive under your own power. We need to discuss your terms of employment; as Fiona is feeling underfed and it is my understanding that a great many of our students will be unable to patronise your fine establishment for the better part of the year, thanks to Mr Bulstrode's heroic efforts, you probably do wish to discuss your salary-am I correct?

I am enclosing a bushel of oats for Fiona, as well as some of those lavender flowers she was so fond of the last time you visited.

Fraternally yours,
Albus
