Court, Cops, Concerts

Today was my first experience ever with a real courtroom.

I went to take care of a ticket I got for having the wrong insurance card in my car that time I got pulled over thrice in two hours.  I showed up, proved that I was insured when the ticket was given, and the judge dismissed it.  The court part was fine, and it's very helpful when you smile ( Read more... )

The Ludo/LFA show was October of '06. I'm suprised that the Ludo Metro show was in your top three. I thought Andrew was totally distracted for at least the first half of the show. They were still good, of course, but I didn't think it was their best show.

Are you going to the LFA show at BK tomorrow??????

Can't, it's that CoT roadtrip to Madison! I really really wish I could go though, I like Lights alot, and who knows when LFA will book another gig (answer: not Dan Monahan). And I wanna see Augie blow something up again. That's their thing now, right? =0P

Ludo: They didn't move around as much as usual, but that's okay. They're always high-energy, but so is Sing It Loud (who I did NOT enjoy). I chalk that up to rust from a long break. Bet they sucked to take pictures of, though.

From a technical standpoint, they nailed it more than I've seen them do in ages, and I think that's really what I needed to see to remind me of what sets them apart from an oversaturated and often unimaginative genre. Ferrell and Pmo were nearly perfect, and Andrew even went for high notes in places where he usually makes an easier choice live. I was worried I would hate bass guy, and I didn't. Convy was Convy, as always. I really enjoyed it.

and, Convy returned an e-mail less than 24 hours after I sent it. Something has obviously changed. lol

Oh yeah, that's right - you did tell me about that roadtrip. Ok, good reason, have fun! They're playing in March at the House, and Augie keeps saying he needs to book more shows, so there might be something else (but you're right, Dan has no clue about it :)). We were also talking to Augie about a Season 3 release in early June :) Annnnd, Augie claims nothing will be blown up this time. Lame, I say.

I can see what you're saying - I don't pay much attention to technicalities, unless they are glaringly obvious. I am way more focused on the energy and interaction (which is also why I like shooting Sing It Loud). So, you are probably right that they were more "spot on" musically than usual.

And Convy emailed me back the other day quickly too. I chalked it up to his iPhone, but yes, it was definitely crazy.

At least you only had to go to Maywood. Back on new years eve, i had to go downtown to Criminal Court for jury duty. I ended up getting out of there early and waited for my mother to pick me up. I dont want my car hit. I feared my life standing there with all of those creeps. I had some guy staring at me, slowly inching closer to me. And every single person in there eyes you and stares at you. Ive never felt so much like a vulnerable little white girl as that day.
