I love that subtle British snark thing where she reminds everyone that she now basically has more money than the entire Tory party put together without it actually *sounding* like she's giving them all a middle finger. :-D

is when she states that paying your taxes and supporting your fellow citizens is a form of patriotism, and she made a conscious choice to pay taxes on her whopping royalties because she owed the state a debt. Glenn Beck would have a conniption (the same guy who states he learned his aversion to state-supported anything at the "free" library -- apparently unaware that libraries are supported by the same taxation system he deplores) and I rise to my feet, applauding.
