Well... introspection gets a bad rap... some amount of angsting is actually healthy, because it leads you to notice problems sooner.

But that is why it's nice to have two parents-- you get to average your issues! So if you're a little bit over-worried, and Rich doesn't worry at all, then your kids get just the right amount of worrying out of the deal. :-)

I hugged him *for* this exchange. Because he has a great point. E shows me love and affection all the time. (On the way to preschool the other day he told me "you are my best mommy.") Obsessing over all the other stuff makes me lose track of those moments. Sometimes a simplistic recognition of that is far more mentally healthy than my constant self nitpicking.
