you are a minor character in 'the silence of the lambs.' while you don't know that you're fictional, you DO know how the story is going to progress and ultimately how it's going to end. you know that you cannot change the outcome of the movie--no matter how hard you try. you didn't write it. you have no control over it. you don't have a way out.
someone tells you that you must change roles--you can become clarice starling or hannibal lecter, but the same facts will hold. you will not be able to change the outcome of the movie. you will not have control. you'll just have to live it.
