Well. Worst chapter yet. I can't imagine worse and had to skim over parts of this one, I'm afraid. There is hope at the end though - Henrietta genuinely believes she has Harry's best interests at heart and cannot be working with Voldemort. She also has that odd connection with Evan Rosier so perhaps we'll see him again soon.

I keep trying to think of ways that Connor could be healed after this and I'm afraid it's going to take memory charms. I cannot imagine his hopeful optimistic personality surviving at all. Damn.

I'm so proud of Draco.

Really? Wow. I thought most people wouldn't think it was as bad as the graveyard chapter, if only because it was happening to a secondary character, not Harry, and it was less graphic.

I was very proud of Draco, too. I didn't know he would appeal just like that to Harry. It hurt to write.

Ah, well, Connor and the Muggle girl. I just couldn't cope and skimmed heavily. Maybe it was the cannibalism? I don't know.

I am also extremely proud of Draco. It would be so heartbreaking to say those things, but at the same time you know they have to be said. :(

But yeah, the bit about eating the girl and taking out her eye and tongue... not pretty. It's definitely something that Voldemort would do, though.

I am left absolutely incoherent after this chapter. There's so much happening on both sides. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Henrietta plans to do with Harry. She's mentioned before that she has his best interests at heart, so at this point I'm not too worried about what she's going to do.

Poor Connor, though. I can't imagine him surviving this torture, and even if he does, he'll never be sane again. The details of his torture were extremely gruesome and gory, and I applaud your ability to be able to write and stomach it.

I'm very proud of Draco for doing what he did. He truely has matured into an adult.

god, i know that voldemort has just slightly dragged parvati into this, but i hope that he won't take advantage of connor's insanity to completely burn his mind with horrid images related to his beloved.

Henrietta always did. But she knew that Harry wouldn't have let her sacrifice herself without trying to interfere (especially because, at that point, he was in the mood to just kill Rosier), so she had to take precautions.

He could have been sane, thanks to Legilimency, but he would never have been the same.

And yes, I think that Draco is getting there, finally- though he'll always have some "more" growing up to do.

You are very good at describing torture scenes.I was actually able to vision each of them, and at times, I could almost feel what Conner was feeling. And trust me, it hurts. I really feel bad for Conner. And I wish that I could just go and kill Voldemort myself.

I am really pissed at Henrietta right now. Harry finally agrees not to leave, and she kidnaps him. What the fuck is she planning to do? If she doesn't die for the last Horcrux before Draco and Snape find her, I am sure that Draco will kill her.

amazing chapter. Even through all the gore.

Thank you. I didn't plan these torture scenes out in advance, so I was worried about how well they came across.

Draco would probably have at least hurt her badly. Henrietta was the magically stronger, so it's an open question whether Draco could have killed her.

These last few chapters are so heart stopping - I can't remember ever reading anything with so much suspense! Even though I know these are cliff-hangers, I can't resist - it's like an addiction, and each time I'm left fulfilled and wanting more. What am I going to do when this story ends?

Thank you!

And, well, there's always more fanfiction out there. :)

Hooly crap, Lightning. Voldemort is a bad man.

Also Henrietta really is fearless, isn't she? Yeesh.
