When Harry James Black becomes Harry Polaris Black... I thought when he cast off Potter he cast off his middle name as well. Did I misunderstand, or did he take it back somewhere that I missed?

Ha! Actually, yes, he did cast it off in Chapter 44 of "Wind"; I just don't think I ever mentioned or thought of it again (i.e., I might have had a character think of him as Harry James at some point).This is a continuity error in the sense that he didn't have a middle name for a while, though he could still take Polaris as a new name; it just wouldn't be replacing anything. Thanks for noting that! In a week or so, I'll probably go through and smooth over things like this.

No, I won't be. I won't be posting them anywhere in public on the Internet, as doing so means I can't sell them to most markets. In the past I've used locked LJ's. If the mood strikes me, I may do so again, but at the moment I'm more likely to write them privately, wait until a month or so after I finish them when I won't be so strongly connected to them, and then e-mail people and ask if they'll beta-read them and help me with revision in the form of constructive criticism.

I realize this is a touchy subject since it does involve privacy. I would very much love to read whatever you have written *when* you get published. Perhaps you can collect a list of e-mail addresses of ours and then, when the time comes, you can just send us the name you've published under so we can find the books.

I do plan on doing this if people want to- keeping in mind that I probably won't publish anything for years, if ever.

-The last thing I said about Madam Pomfrey was that we didn't know for sure if she survived. I choose to believe she did.

-Hawthorn becomes Liasion With Werewolves for a while- essentially, Head of the new Department for the Control and Regulation of Magical Creatures, but it's not called that anymore.

-Hagrid escaped the fall of Hogwarts, and fled for safety to his mother's people. Eventually, he does come back to Britain, and returns to be the gamekeeper at the rebuilt school.

A passage caught my eye as I was rereading Chapter 48 of IAATB:

Cupressus shook his head. “His home was laid waste. I believe that the Yaxley twins went there looking for him. And given how stupid Erasmus is, that was actually a good tactic. For now, he believes me when I tell him there is no safer place for him than with the leader of the British part of the Light alliance, and a fellow member of the Order of the Firebird.”

Since Cupressus is talking about his own house, shouldn't the Underlined British be 'Irish'?

He's not talking about his own house here but the house of Miriam Smith, the leader of the British part of the alliance ^^

but you are done, and it was (will be for me) an amazing twist on JK Rowling's Harry Potter. As I've said from when ever I actually started commenting, I think of this as the real HP more than the one she wrote, so you know you've done a good job! hehe

Help me out fans of lightning!

Because This fic has inspired me I have begun a drawing in dedication to the fic. However I need a little help. This goes out to anyone who wants to answer. I'm listing out Harrys physical characteristics. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with what Harry looks like by the end of this fic. The more info I have the better which is why I'm not fully relying on my own memory.

Well, I can say that:

-he still has glasses
-he still has the lightning bolt scar (I've read a few fics where it fades when he defeats Voldemort, but I didn't want to make this one of them)
-he has the silver dogs-head emblem in the center of his left palm

i've wanted to do this as well, but i've never been happy with my resultant sketchies. but if i actually create anything worthwhile, i'll link it to lightning. she deserves it.
