Try a little bit (just a teeny tiny bit!) of baking soda and vinegar?

Try pouring vinegar down it then shutting it and running it empty. Cider's a natural drain cleaner. It may take it awhile but it certainly works on sink drains.

Good luck! That is NO fun at all.

As a preventative measure, I put about a cup of cider vinegar down each my drains every couple weeks.

It might need to be snaked. I'm not sure if zenbeer moved his or not, I'll check. They're fairly inexpensive, though, I believe. Will chat with the hubby and get back w/you. Coming over tonight?

Am running it on a HOT wash w/ well rinsed dishes in there. Figured at least that would kill the little buggers breeding in there.

Won't be over tonight. R's new tat is infected and he is headed to urgent care...then has a movie date w/ a friend. Enjoy hollaring at the TV. :)

If snake is needed, I have one you can borrow as well. Give me a shout if you need it.

Hope R's tat gets better fast and with no loss of color/design!

I pour bleach down there every so often on the advice of the AB May guys.

If you upgraded to the Gold Plan they will come out and air blast the line for you for the visit fee (or do whatever else is needed to fix it). The air blasting was what ours needed when it suffered similar problems.

You may want to NOT snake it yourself. I found out the hard way that attempting to repair your own stuff invalidates the home service plan for that item because you tampered with it. (They don't want to have to come out to fix the thing that you broke more by trying to fix it - go figure).
