I haven't figured out yet what actually went down, not that it should matter, I guess. But a journal is to post in. Friends or followers can read it or not, like it or not, comment on it or not, and drop off if they wish, or not. I've seen lots of journals that basically state in the bio: My journal, my domain. I respect that, and if I don't, well, I don't have to hang around.
I won't be shut up anymore.
I never thought of you as one who felt she had to hold back in the first place. :o)
I tend to use LJ to post mostly about things I came across or read that I found interesting with the occasional post about life. I don't want to become the type of fur that posts a picture of every meal they had eaten that week or writes their regiment for gym reps into their journal so yes I do use restraint in what I post.
There actually has been several things on my mind of late that I have simply decided not to post because I don't want to get virtual hugs as retorts to my problems. Also when I post more infrequently when I do post it tends to hold more weight and people are more apt to give true feedback, stuff that doesn't feel forced.
I can understand and there are somethings I wouldn't post about but it's more a judgement call. If I don't feel I know enough about it I generally pass on posting about it.
