Fishing Success!

Today I decided to go fishing in the complex's pond here. Fish were biting like nutz! I caught tons of Blue Gill and good size ones, but the cooptagracy was the 14" Large Mouth Bass. I still have him in a container (28 gallon plastic tote) while I attempt to get some decent pictures of it. I'm still shocked I hooked into one. I knew it was going to

Congrats! Geez, I haven't fished in eons, and never did I catch a bass.

I got the pictures of him and then took him back to the pond and put him back in the water. I couldn't see harming him.

bluegill is some of the most fantastic tasting fish I ever eaten, problem was each fish amounted to mabye 3 bites and needed cleaned, its alot of work for so little meat.

Yeah, Bluegill have been called Pan Fish. But some of these guys had some serious meat on them.

I used to really like fishing, when I was a kid. I never was much good at it. I think the biggest thing I ever caught was a medium-sized catfish. But it was kind of nice to sit out in the middle of the lake, or on the bank of the pond, and just kind of slow down and sit quietly while you waited for a bite. I think its been at least thirteen years since the last time I went fishing, though.
