Starting your morning with Robbie Williams is the best way to go I think. He leaves me in a fairly cheerful mood. Also finding 1776 icons make me really happy.  There is always a group of people who like obscure shit like you. Never doubt it.

I just found out that John Adams was totally against interracial marriage, while while that makes total sense with the time period, I was still sad.

He also wanted to nationalize the banks. There are certainly some political stuff I don't agree with him on. You shouldn't be sad, he was a product of his time. He also fought like mad against the south to take out the bit (in the declaration) about having slaves in their new country. They wanted it in, he wanted it out.

Anyway, he always listened to his wife, or at the least admitted when he was wrong when she was right. The woman had political chops.

I know - his stance on slavery and his relationship with his wife are some of the reasons I really like him.
