I finished Monstrous Regiment. This means I need to find something else to read by tomorrow afternoon. Any suggestions would be appreciated

NO GODDAMN YOU! PUT THE HEROCLIX DOWN!!!! I have about $500 worth of the damn things. I played it for like a week and a half. I have no impulse control. It's plastic crack, man. I swear to god. You open your first box, and you're like, "Wow! These are awesome! But I don't have a unique Daredevil... Or Spider-Man... and the Juggernaut looks awesome... And Rhino... *twitch*" and that's where it gets you. That's where it got me.
As a side note, if you want to challenge me in HeroClix, bring it on. I'll stomp your ass. Also, we can see if we want to trade, as little girls trade hair accessories, so too can you now trade HeroClix.
In fact, even now, I'm getting the itching to buy more. I don't even play! I don't even want them for that reason! But I must have them!
My roommate bought a Nightcrawler clix for $50. Having seen it, I would have paid it, for something so sweet. You see? It's a little plastic figurine that cost $0.02 to make, and is selling for $50. He sold it on ebay for $65. It's insanity!
But it really is a lot of fun, if you've got a little bit of free time with your friends. I mostly don't play anymore because neither myself, nor my friends, has enough free time to devote to it.
I do the same thing with MERP modules, except I actually expect to use those someday.
I think I can resist getting more heroclix, but I'm powerless against that Pirates of the Spanish Main game. I'm probably going to buy a box of those tomorrow. >.<
The problem with heroclix is that I'm so far behind. I only have one unique character (Arwyn), so I basically suck. I'll have to buy tons just to break even with you or Ed or Randy and that's just not gonna happen.
Did someone say book suggestion?lucylearyNovember 17 2004, 11:45:28 UTC

It's not so important now because we can no longer read between calls. Seems some imbeciles were playing cards not only between calls, but during them as well. From the calls that were recorded it was obvious that they just weren't listening to the customer. So of course AT&T bitched to Convergys and now we can't do anything between calls until it all blows over.
Still... sci-fi, fantasy, politics plz. Fiction too. I, uh, don't need to read anything about pregnancy and birth (I hope!).
No! No Heroclix! Heroclix are the devil! They're like my freakin' Magic: The Gathering cards! I have hundred of dollars worth of them, and only played about fifteen or twenty times! Save yourself before it's too late!
Besides, you must drop the Pirates of the Spanish Main, Heroclix, and Nina model immediately. Why? I'll tell you why:
World of Warcraft, that's why. November 23rd. Just four little days away now... Four little days before the sucking away of the rest of my life commences. If there's anything I'm willing to blow an extra $14.99 a month on in this day and age, it's an escape from this day and age. And it kicks EverCrack II's ass, anyway. Join us... JOIN US!!!!!
It will run on an 800MHz CPU, as long as you have 256MB of RAM! And you have to have at least that, don't you? All you would need is a better video card, and not even an expensive one! Check it:
You don't think I've already considered this? I bought a new graphics card, but unfortunately my m/b is so old that it won't work with modern cards. So I'd have to buy a new processor and m/b, which means I'll have to upgrade to ddr memory as well. And I'm not going to get something mediocre because it would negate the whole point of upgrading! All told it'll cost me anywhere from $500 - $600, which I just can't spend right now.
Speaking of no excuses, how can you play WoW when you haven't even played Deus Ex yet, huh? One of the best games ever made... and you don't even need to pay a membership fee!

Speaking of rampant nerdism, though, you should check out the list of geek chic stuff I got for my birthday yesterday.
