Yeah, I guess I was. It was pretty naive to think I could do it when I didn't even know what sort of gifts they'd like. Maybe I'll do better next year.

You'e right, exactly. A friend of mine said that if the gift is an obligation, it's not really a gift anymore. The point is to give because you want to.

Speaking of that, is there anything you would like, Klarth?

Yeah, at first. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but...in hindsight, I'm not sure I was thinking realistically. Maybe next year, when I know people a little bit better.

Well, it is a kind thought... I only gave gifts to a few people, myself. Six months on this island, and... aha, I still don't know a lot of people here.

Even if it's just a few people, it's still in the spirit of Christmas as long as it's from the heart. I'd guess it's just as good as many more.
