Coloring Tut: Ashley Tisdale

I really like how the coloring came out on a banner I made so I decided to turn it into icons...and then into a tutorial. Enjoy!

 TO

-Made in PS7
-Involves Selective Coloring
-Not Translatable :(

1. Start off with your base cropped to 100x100. Sharpen if needed. A darker base works better with this tut, but if your base is lighter, just lower the opacity or omit the screen layers.

2. Add a Brightness/Contrast level with the Contrast at +15

3. Duplicate your base, bring it to the top and set it to Screen.

4. Add a Hue/Saturation layer at +15

5. Add an Exclusion layer with 0A1830.

6. Duplicate your base again 2 times, setting the first to Screen and the second to Soft Light.

7. Selective Coloring:
R: -100, 100, 100, 100
Y: -100. 0, 100, 0
G: 100, 100, 100, 10
C: 100, 100, 100, 100

set this to soft light.

8. Another Selective Coloring:
R: -100, 0, 100, 0
Y: 100, 0, -55, 0
N: 100. 0, -40, 0

9. Add a layer of F79B7D set to Soft Light at 55%

10. Add a layer of E7B57F set to Color Burn at 20%

11. Repeat step 7.

12. Add a layer of E7B57F set to Color Burn

Final Product:

OPTIONAL:
Add a Hue/Sat layer with the blues set at +20-50
