Living in Jamaica Plain agrees with me quite completely. I love the diversity, the neighborliness, the public parks and bike paths and flower gardens and city cats. Boston's transit network is completely comprehensible and mostly on time (except for the red line, which has had a tendency to catch fire this week ( Read more... )

...My partner lived in Jamaica Plains for a few years and tells fond stories of the corner cafe that served amazing locally grown breakfasts, and the beautiful old house she shared with community mates. She loved living there, and has drawn me small maps in the back of my journal showing bus stops, parks, and coffee shops. I hope it is good to you too....

Her and Bailey (and by extension Robyn knew which T stop I lived near before I did). Queer central, so it figures. Still, yes - a damn small world.
