7th ♥ [Video]

[The broadcast starts at an odd angle, the page filled mainly with Kairi's face, behind her a mast, a sail and a patch of blue sky.]

Ahoy there!

[She can't say anything else for a moment, stalled by a fit of giggles.]

Hello, it's Kairi, heh, Captain Kairi. I've claimed this ship as my flagship.

[The view whirls sickeningly, showing the lake, ( Read more... )

[So Tammy has left her room with the intention of finding something for her headache. And eventually she will go and see about that whole Keep doctor thing. But she also wants to find Malkus, 'cause it's been a while and that whole handcuff thing....

Course she should know better; she likes Malkus which should have been a big flashing "KEEP YOUR DISTANCE" but Tammy isn't always as smart as she wishes she were.

When she spots him near the lake she heads over to join him, just managing to catch what he's said, and she initially wonders if he's talk to himself...except oh, there's his journal.]

Yo ho Doc.

[Unexpected benefit of being kidnapped by an enigmatic old hoarder? Turns out magic isn't something people point at and scream bloody murder about. Which is a relief because Tammy couldn't take the screaming right now.

Still, doesn't mean the incessant nose bleed and collapsing isn't any less embarrassing now than it was when it happened with Calvin, and if Tammy could she'd run off somewhere private to tend to the flood coming out of her nose. But since she can't move her legs yet, she instead takes a moment to swear violently at an utterly unapologetic Antalyon (mentally, of course, no sense letting them know she's nuts) and sort out her potential answer.]

S'not usually this bad. Kinda...different here, I guess.

[Man, her voice sounds weird and thick and nasal. Quick, subject change. Tammy would offer a hand, Kairi, but both of her hands are bloody, so. Have a nod.]

'm fine, thanks. You okay? ['Cause there's no telling what Antalyon's magic could have done.]

Sure.

[She grabs a rope and splashes ashore, determined that the boat not go adrift again while she investigates.]

So, how did you do that?

A-Are you really certain you're alright?

[Malkus reaches inside of his robe, seeming to pat himself down in an attempt to search for any gauze or cloth. How absolutely shameful! A decent doctor should never be seen without any supplies.

Tammy isn't the only embarrassed one of this group. Not even a handkerchief! Malkus is really going to need to carry his bag around more often.]

I'm terribly sorry, but I'm afraid I don't have anything to clean up the blood. Perhaps I ought to check the ship for something? E-Erm... Try pinching your nose- What am I saying, you probably already know how to handle a nose bleed...

[He turns his attention over at Kairi for a moment before looking back at Tammy.]

That is a good question, actually. How did you move such a vessel?

[A good question, yep! One Tammy has been trying to think up an answer for. Should she tell them the truth? She doesn't know this new girl, but considering the position Malkus is now in, he deserves to know the truth. It's his soul he just gave up, after all.

Fucking djinn and their magical binding loopholes.

...and it finally occurs to her that hey, there's already a djinn here. One that makes no secret of himself. So she could tell them the truth and they wouldn't put her in a padded room.

Except when she opens her mouth to tell them, nothing comes out.

Not a thing. She tries again, makes her head throb from the effort, and finds a new reason to hate Antalyon.

Because he won't let her say Malkus just bargained away his soul for the ship. And before she can try again, she is speaking.]

It's what you wanted. I can give people the things they want. Most of the time, anyway. Things are a bit different here than they are back home.

[Kairi crouches down next to Tammy, willing to help her to the water's edge so that she can at least splash some water on her face and chin and get some of the blood off.

She hadn't seen anything in the boat. But maybe Malkus would find something.

But before she can suggest it, Tammy's speaking.]

So, like a wish?

Ah! Now that's quite the interesting gift, eh? I can see why one would perhaps wish to keep that less than public knowledge 'n all, considering the effects of said wish granting.

Well, Miss Sable, I must thank you for this!

[He motions a hand to the ship.]

You've spared us the possible danger of a kraken. Very much appreciated!

[Yeah, but she figures when the good doctor discovers the price he paid for that wish, the kraken will probably seem preferable. But Tammy still can't say it, and against every desire in her body she chuckles, getting her feet under her and swaying a bit as she stands.]

You're welcome, Doc. Glad I could actually manage to help.

Hey,

[Kairi grins at Malkus]

You haven't stolen it yet. I'm still the Captain.
