Star Trek & Dogs
We went & saw Star Trek last night & it was totally awesome! We saw it on the IMAX theater.
My husband & I really wanted to go, but we had to take Tyler kicking & screaming. He had absolutely no desire to go. I'm not sure why - I kept telling him that it was like Star Wars & that his mom & dad really liked Star Trek, but that didn't sway him. Well, we have a Star Trek fan now! I can't wait until they make another movie - because you know they totally left the opening for it at the end!
Star Trek is one of my main fandoms that I enjoy. I wasn't into the original so much as the Next Gen. But I knew & had seen enough of the original series to get the inside jokes in the movie.
In regards to an IMAX movie - make sure you get there early enough to sit towards the top! We had to sit near the bottom & my eyes had a hard time adjusting when the action was fast & furious. Tyler said it made his head hurt (but he still enjoyed it).

Our sheltie, Sammy, died over Thanksgiving & I really want a new dog. My husband says he doesn't want one, but I'm hoping to ambush him by going to see these puppies & the adult dogs that the lady has & he'll change his mind - especially with Tyler & I pleading & giving him puppy dog eyes! LOL We are going to go see them the weekend after Memorial Day - keep your fingers crossed for me.
