Maybe... you know... you shouldn't go to work with an obvious hickey? It's just sort of unprofessional and sets a bad image for the place.

well yes, i know that, but i had seriously done everything possible to cover it, its not like i was flaunting it. and besides, if he had taken my aside and said privately, "you know, it really isnt the best idea to come to work at a family restaurant with a hickey, please try not to let it happen again," that would have been a different issue.
