So, desperate for something to distract me from the misery of flying Southwest, I picked up a book in the airport bookstore the other day entitled Slightly Single. Supposedly it was one of those 'young woman faces a crossroads in her life comes to terms with her own independance and goes on to be a better person' type stories. I find myself often disgusted when looking for a good book. Seems publishers will publish just about anybody these days. I seem to always find myself going back to classic authors, and even "young people" books, because they actually have some integrity. I don't think the future will ever catch up to Mark Twain, and the like...no-sir-ee-bob.

Last time I flew Southwest, I read "The Theory and Practice of Discourse Parsing and Summarization." Try that next time you have trouble sleeping on a plane.
