So today, I went to Gloria Jeans to get a free 125g pack of coffee which was a reward for buying 20 coffees, ie I had one of those loyalty cards. I got it back in '07 and because I'm poor it's taken this long to fill it up. I purchase two coffees and try and get my freebie. The manager rudely informs me that he hasn't seen one of those loyalty

If the GJ's manager or franchisee has changed, they may have made the decision not to use the loyalty cards. Also, in between you getting it and now they may have withdrawn them and had signage and pamphlets in store.
However, you'd think that out of good customer service they'd give you the freebie anyway.
Just another reason not to go to Starb, sorry, Gloria Jeans.

Ha, I won't be going to GJ's any more. There were no signs or anything instore over the last year(when I started using it again), indeed they kept clipping the loyalty card whenever I bought coffee from there(and other stores). I'm just chalking it up to greed on the part of the owner.
