I love how you gave up on a book. I did that too last term. :S

I'm sure that won't be the only one I give up this year. I just can't seem to be able to get into those classics.

And then there are the two books I'm currently reading...of course, one is now pushing read-time of 1.5months :P

Ohh I heard Wuthering Heights was interesting. Why did you give up in the end?

I just couldn't get into it - I need a book to grab me right off the bat, or else I don't read it, and it didn't. I actually find a lot of the classics don't. :S

A lot of classics seem to start out slowly and then get interesting about half way through I find. Once you get over that, they're not too bad. I found Wuthering heights kind of weird and the characters not very believable, but still enjoyed it.

I'm sure I'll try it again someday. Hehe...right now, I'm on a Harry Potter re-read mission, where I'm trying to re-read all 6 before the 7th book comes out (July 21st!!)

That's such a great idea.

I gave up on Wuthering Heights as well haha.

(Wow I tried posting this about 10 times... lj is being funky.)

It posted this time though...yay!

Hahaha...one day, I'll make it through Wuthering Heights. And some of the other classics that I've tried to read but given up on (ie Jane Eyre, Pride & Prejudice, & others) I don't do well with classics apparently :S

Yay, you're reading Poisonwood Bible!! I read that over the summer (for AP English homework...) and it's really good. Also, it's great because on all my practice SAT essays, I can use something from that book for one of the examples. I think it's because there's four different points of view.

And since everyone else seems to have commented on this: I gave up on Wuthering Heights too!! :D
