You fortunately have never lived in poverty but I'm sure there are poor people also in Australia because poverty exists everywhere. It may be impossible to see poor, hungry and ill people like in Africa but there are certainly people in need also in Australia.

Thanks for your comment. I realize that poverty exists everywhere - it's just through my work with Engineers Without Borders that I've heard a lot about Africa. And I was also trying to get across that the poor there are so much happier than most people in Canada or Australia - rich or poor.
