“You said yes?!” Kikwang exclaimed, slamming his fist on the table, rattling their plates.
Hyunseung winced as people at the restaurant are starting to stare at them.
“Of course I said yes,” Hyunseung sighed, “why are you so surprised?”
Kikwang sighed - frustrated -- while running a hand through his black hair, “it’s just - are you sure about this, hyung?”
“I-“
“Don’t you love Junhyung-hyung anymore?”
Hyunseung dropped his chopsticks that he was holding and looked at Kikwang’s face; pain, hurt and confusion evident on his face.
Kikwang cursed under his breath, regretting that he brought up a soft topic.
“Hyung, I mean-“
“Doojoon.” Hyunseung said softly, instantly shutting up what Kikwang was about to say, “Doojoon, he’s been hurt a lot because of me. He’s been hurting, suffering and dying inside because of me. It’s my fault that he’s in pain right now.”
“Hyung…” Kikwang gasped as tears started to fall down on Hyunseung’s pretty face.
“And-and I don’t want him to suffer more because of me, Kikwang-ah.” A small sob escaped Hyunseung’s lips as he continued, “He deserves to be loved. I want him to be happy.”
Kikwang just stared at his hyung as the older boy sobbed softly and all he wanted to say was, ‘what about your happiness?’
***********
“You asked him to marry you and he said yes.” Dongwoon stated, rubbing his fingers at the bridge of his nose and feeling a head ache coming up as he sat down on the couch at Doojoon’s office.
“Yep,” Doojoon confirmed happily, a goofy smile on his face.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit too early to ask for his hand in marriage?” Dongwoon eyed Doojoon carefully, clearly not happy at his hyung’s abrupt decision.
Doojoon rolled his eyes, “we’ve been together for years, Woonie-ah.”
The younger boy sighed, “That’s not what I meant, hyung.”
“Then what did you mean, dongsaeng ~?” Doojoon teased, not letting Dongwoon’s strange actions ruin his mood.
“I mean,” Dongwoon took a deep breath, “you just confronted him, I don’t know - days, weeks - ago and you’re already asking Hyunseung that.”
“So?”
“Oh kami,” The younger boy let out an annoying groan, “are you sure that he won’t cheat on you again?” His hyung was being stupid in love and it was frustrating.
Doojoon’s smile faltered a bit as he bit his lips. “No, I’m not sure about that. But that’s the reason why I’m asking him to marry me.”
“Wait… what?!”
“I want Hyunseung, Dongwoon-ah.” Doojoon said softly, looking straight into Dongwoon’s eyes, “more than anything - anyone - in this fucked up world, and I have to have him… before someone steals him from me again.”
***********
Hyunseung and Kikwang were on the couch at Doojoon’s place, beer and glasses are on the table in front of them as they talk about Kikwang’s love life - or lack thereof.
“I’m getting married and you don’t even have a boyfriend.” The words that left Hyunseung’s lips felt foreign to him, especially after he said the word: married.
Kikwang rolled his eyes, “don’t need ‘em. Waste of time.”
“Oh?” Hyunseung chuckled, which was really relaxing. This is what you get when you’re talking with your best friend, you’ll feel refreshed.
Before Kikwang could respond, the door to the front was suddenly slammed open.
“I’m home~” Doojoon’s happy voice echoed throughout the room, which made Kikwang roll his eyes again.
“Oh. Hi Kikwang,” Doojoon greeted when he realized that Kikwang was sitting next to his future husband - future husband - that made Doojoon’s heart melt.
Kikwang just glared and grunted in response, not really ecstatic to see his best friend’s reason of inner turmoil. Kikwang never really like Doojoon - for his best friend - from the start anyway. So what if they’re about to get married, that doesn’t mean he has to start liking the older guy.
Doojoon shrugged Kikwang’s obvious glare and made his way to his boyfriend to kiss him chastely on the lips before saying, “and hello to you, beautiful.”
Hyunseung stiffened when Doojoon lifted him up for awhile and then suddenly he was sitting on top of Doojoon’s lap, “uh, hi Doo.”
Doojoon smiled at the doe-eyed boy sweetly and then turned to Kikwang to give him the look that screams, get out.
Kikwang’s glare intensified but shook it off - he has to behave for his best friend - and got up, “I need to go, hyung. Talk to you later.”
Hyunseung was about to follow Kikwang but was pulled back by Doojoon, settling the former on his lap possessively again. Hyunseung sighed as he watched Kikwang’s back until the dark haired boy was out from the house.
“Three months,” Doojoon murmured as he nuzzled his face on Hyunseung’s shoulders.
“Three months… What?”
“The wedding,” The older boy wrapped his arms around the younger boy’s waist and hugged him closer; “the wedding date is already set. So, we have to prepare everything before the wedding day.” Doojoon has been preparing for the wedding, and updating Hyunseung every time they met up.
Hyunseung bit his lips and nodded, not daring himself to speak in fear that he may croak and sob.
“I’ll have you to decide for the theme and wedding planner,” Doojoon continued happily, while nipping at the skin on Hyunseung’s shoulder. This is it. This is what Doojoon had dreamed of for a long time. And in three months, his dreams will come true.
“Okay,” Hyunseung whispered softly, shifting to look at Doojoon so that the latter will stop kissing his shoulders.
But as soon as Hyunseung turned, he was suddenly pushed down on the couch, the older boy on top. Doojoon grabbed the younger boy’s thighs to wrap it around his waist and devoured him.
Hyunseung’s eyes widened when Doojoon kissed him hungrily, he was surprised but he forced himself not to push the latter away either. Hyunseung wanted to fight back, to stop - because this is not what he wanted - it was fast and rough and it hurts and it wasn’t right. He wanted it to stop so badly but he didn’t want Doojoon to get hurt again, so he reluctantly opened his mouth and welcomed the tongue that instantly invaded his mouth.
Hyunseung felt his chest clench but he ignored it, he pushed the pain away. He realized that the feeling of pain right now does not compare - not even half of it - to what Doojoon must’ve felt when Hyunseung cheated on him with Junhyung.
Shutting his eyes tightly, Hyunseung let Doojoon take off his clothes. Hyunseung let Doojoon mark his body with bites and kisses. Hyunseung let Doojoon pound in to him mercilessly. Hyunseung let Doojoon fill him with his cum. Hyunseung let Doojoon cuddle up with him as he sobbed quietly.
And for once - ever since he met Junhyung - he did something right, but god, how it felt wrong.
***********
When Hyunseung woke up, he could hear some noise at the kitchen. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his naked waist and he made his way to the source of the noise and saw Doojoon already getting ready for work.
“So,” Doojoon said when he saw Hyunseung enter the kitchen and pointed at the food on the table, “breakfast is ready.”
Hyunseung gave him a small smile as he sat down on a chair, “thanks Doo.”
Doojoon’s heart melted at the adorable sight and had the urge to kiss the doe-eyed boy. So he did, but it was only just a peck, because he might lose his self control if he continued.
“Have you decided who to invite?” Doojoon asked, licking his lips as he straightened up.
Hyunseung nodded, “Yeah. A few friends, family, colleagues -“
“You should invite Junhyung.”
“-and maybe the old lady across the st--- wait. What?!”
“I said, Invite Junhyung.”
Hyunseung gaped, “I - w-why?”
Doojoon shrugged, grabbing the door knob and opening it, “so that he will know who Jang Hyunseung belongs to.”
Hyunseung just stared as the door closed.
***********
He gripped the wedding invitation as he made his way to Junhyung’s street. It’s the first time he’s been here so he had to ask a lot people, a lot. Hyunseung chuckled nervously as he waited near the door of - where the old lady from across the street pointed and said would be - Junhyung’s apartment.
He waited there for a couple of minutes, getting anxious. An hour passed and he was about to leave when he saw Junhyung.
… and he was holding hands with a pretty blond boy.
His chest suddenly ached at the sight, but he still stayed and smiled forcefully when Junhyung was facing him and he was facing Junhyung.
Junhyung was shocked at first but then his expression changed. He stared at Hyunseung coldly, “what are you doing here?” His voice was as cold as his stare; the boy who was holding his hands was now hiding behind Junhyung.
Hyunseung took a deep breath, “I-I just want to give you this.” The doe-eyed boy stuttered while holding out the invitation to him.
Junhyung eyed him intently for a while and then he took the invitation. And before Junhyung could say something, Hyunseung immediately bolted away. His eyes were filling up fast.
When Hyunseung saw the pretty blond boy, he shouldn’t be surprised; he wasn’t even supposed to be hurt. Because he deserved this, he decided to leave Junhyung and so this was his own fault.
And it hurt like hell.
