[An audible sigh of frustration.]Well. I guess I could ( Read more... )

Well, thank you! It's true. Even when you have to re-learn things!

...Where are you from?

Yes, amnesia has a way of making you forget things sometimes.

Egypt? Another one? Just how many are there of you country people here, anyway?

Are you, like, one of Russia's citizens?

You could say that.

I mean, I don't live there anymore, but I was born there.

Oh, totally? I, like, lived there for awhile too.

Did you? Well, your Russian's very good! I haven't met very many people here who've been to Russia, you know. And some people have never even heard of it!

'Least we can put being bilingual to some use, huh? I know some other languages here and there... except Russian, though. The German was a little, uh...

Look, I can't help it if it's a little rusty, okay? I haven't spoken it in years. Not to mention, you know, a bout of amnesia in the middle.

That's good news! It seems as if many people are having communication difficulties, so I imagine it's comforting to find someone who speaks a given language! Though I speak quite a few...admittedly, not all are formal schooling and are self-taught, as I learned them from reading and so my pronunciation may be rather lacking.

Oh...pardon me for rambling on, I tend to do that sometimes.

I can understand you fine, don't worry. It's not like I'm the best at everything I speak either. As long as it's possible to communicate, that's what matters, right?
