Giselle turned at that, blinking. "Oh, um." Had she been completely honest, she would have told her pactholder that she had been thinking of how long she could last with the food she had just bought from the campus cafe. The serving was large, perhaps she could split the sandwich with her friends, or save the leftovers in the refrigerator...

"The maid?" She ended up inquiring instead, knowing neither where the story started nor which direction it was taking.

"Yeah, isn't it just scandalous? -Ha, are you listening properly? Hey, are you? What did I say Emmanuel was playing to do to Mateo?" Trick question; Minerva hadn't mentioned either.

She was sort of skipping rather than stepping but still keeping pace with Giselle, a signal to her good mood, despite her permanently serious features.

"Emmanuel, he..." Oh, what was the point of lying? Minerva would figure it out in half a second anyway. Giselle gave a slightly nervous chuckle and looked to the side. "Sorry, Minerva. I was out of it for a while there."
