CV needs a spokesperson to respond. If there's going to be a response, it should be an organized one from the group, not scattered responses from individuals. I understand why you're upset and I think you have every right to be, and of course you're more upset because you were personally involved. So go to CV and discuss how you're all going to respond. No one is going to drag you out into the spotlight if you don't want to be there, I don't think you have to worry about that.

I definitely agree. The spotlight stuff really is just late-night rambling. If/when CV responds, we had better be more coherent than this post was!

After seeing the Fox piece and then reading the news article (after your post tipped me off to it!) I think I spent about an hour composing scathing-yet-political-and-reasonable-sounding statements with which to respond. Venting anger but only using the best words in a way that any half way reasonable and not amazingly conservative person would only respond with "Wow, Coulter is an ass

I agree that responding would be a bad idea.

This is, I think, the third or fourth 'media expose' that I've heard about CV. All off them vanished at the end of a news cycle. Unlike the WAP controvesry, there isn't a story here.

Curiously, I think this actually strengthens CVs position with the adminstration. CV does have opposition, but the ones I've run into would never be caught dead on the same side of the issue as Ann Coulter.
