I'm in my mid-twenties and I've noticed that phenomenon too.

I say for the people who aren't married, don't worry. People who marry young have much higher rates of divorce. What would you rather be, old and never married or old and divorced?

Personally I never plan on getting married or having kids. I don't even care if I have sex again, those things aren't priorities for me.

I also hate how married couples usually isolate themselves from their other friends. It's like when people get married they become each others best friend, and any friends they had before that they barely have time for anymore. Yet despite this pathological co-dependency a lot of married couples aren't truly happy, even if they don't go so far as getting a divorce. A lot of couples are staying together only because they're scared to be alone. The marriage contest could be more accurately renamed to the "scared to be alone" contest. Awwww, how sad for them.

I'm glad to see a male perspective who relates to one of my articles :)

Yeah, I strive not to be one of those neglectful friends who hangs out with only her bf. I can't even do that if I wanted to...it smothers me. I need my freedom.

Today is "Top Ten" day for my Examiner articles...any ideas?
