"What, Shirou-chan, is Luceti?."
There are no words to describe Hinamori and his relationship to her. He's tried to protect, was deceived into murdering her, and her very presence in Luceti has sent him into a tailspin. But, even with all the issues that surround her, it is so good that she's here. She's alive. She's not in the war. If they stay here forever, they'll never have to face what just happened back home. But, then, Hitsugaya's never been one to run away and this denial can only last for so long. She's everything to him, but he doesn't know if their friendship can survive what's coming. She's everything.
Relationship:

"Did you know that you don't have to pay for drinks here?"
She's the one the first told him that he needed to be in the Shinigami Academy. They've fought together. Worked together. Griped at each other and just generally shared most aspects of their lives for a good number of years now. Hitsugaya has mixed feelings about her showing up in Luceti, but he can't deny -- not truthfully anyway -- that she's one of the few people in this place that he knows he can depend on. She's also a drunk and she knows just how to push his buttons. She's got his back... and vice versa.
Relationship:
"Don't tell me the first thing you did here was get drunk."
十 十 白 白 白 kickinabout [Ambiguous]
"Well, you seem less pissy than usual."
She's the enemy, but, as things usually tend to be in Luceti, things are more complicated than that. He can't really say he likes her but he shares something with her in this place: they are both from the same world. She's seemed to latch onto him a bit, showing up here and there and she seems to actually care about what he's doing. He's not sure what to make of her, because she is the enemy and that's still his first thought when he sees her. But... she's a kid whom he'll protect if push comes to shove. She seems to enjoy crossing whatever boundaries he's set for their relationship.
Relationship:
"You've known me for all of two months. I have more moods than pissy, thanks."

"I'm an arrancar. Do you really need to know anything else?"
He's only spoken with Neliel a couple times, but she was one of the first people he was in contact with when he arrived in Luceti. She's quiet, and that's fine by him. She's caused no trouble and so he won't seek her out. It's... interesting to have just as many enemies from his world as allies. He's still not sure of her. Not sure if he ever will be.
Relationship:
"I suppose not, as long as you're not causing trouble."
Luceti
十 十 十 白 markofthebrave [The Waterbender]
"Right. And the sky is just a little blue."
Katara was one of the first people he spoke to upon his arrival in Luceti and, since then, he's run into her a few times -- she's even healed his cuts and bruises once. It was her power over water that initially drew his curiosity and her tendency to hand him mini-lectures -- "You have to explain things!" -- had him backing away. But when she's right, she's right, and he learned. He finds that they have enough similarities between them to make conversation: war-torn worlds, a natural affinity toward water, uncomfortable when it's hot. It's their differences, though, that keeps him speaking with her. Though her optimism grates on him, it's an admirable trait. Especially here in Luceti. Her optimism leaves him confused more often than not.
Relationship:

十 十 白 corrinesbell [The Ninja]
"A branch broke and I fell."
Some of Sheena's first words to him included you've been here before. Cue confusion and curiosity. Hitsugaya's gone out of his way to speak to her and to figure out if she's lying to him. And if she's not lying to him, then he must have seen something in her to give her the time of day. So he keeps talking to her, watching her and trying to figure her out. She seems nice enough?
Relationship:
"Again, huh? You make a habit of that?"

"Ow! There's sharp rocks..."
This girl's a strange one and she seems to take great pleasure in finding his boundaries and then crossing them with great gusto. Yuffie is the troll of trolls and he'll probably forever duck away from her after she took it up on herself to dump water on his head. She's a troll.
Relationship:
"Shoulda thought of that before you jumped."
十 十 白 one_green_eye [The Mushishi]
"That's my line of work -- I'm a mushishi."
He doesn't know Ginko well at all, but can recognize and respect skill and empathy. Their first conversations were pleasant enough but it was when Hitsugaya was infected with the kagebi that he had to rely on Ginko's knowledge of mushi. In the days following, Hitsugaya kept an eye on the journals -- he's not the only one who should really find a way to repay a debt. (Then again, Ginko's cure wasn't something that was easy to follow, that was certain.) Someday, Hitsugaya will find a way to repay that debt and they start again on even footing. He owes Ginko.
Relationship:
"Your line of work is to save the sakura blossoms? Or young women? Or perhaps just saving mushi?."
十 十 白 flicker_flash [The Fearless Nerf Assassin]
"Nice to meet you, Hitsugaya. I'm April."
The first time he met her, she said her name was Haineko. Then April. Hitsugaya eventually just settled for "Girl." It seemed safer that way. She ambushed him with a nerf gun, of all things, and managed to pull him into a faux-fight. (It was self-defense, honest.) He's definitely not sure what to make of her and he's pretty sure he doesn't even know her real name. But she's so... All right. Honestly? She's a child and somehow that just counts, okay? She's a little girl; what else does he need to know?
Relationship:
"Now I know who to look for next time I'm shot in the back of the head."

"Would you care for another song then? It might help pass the time."
Hitsugaya met Brook over the journals first, when he was laid up thanks to the mushi. Brook's musical talents were a welcome distraction and the fact that he was a skeleton twice as tall as Hitsugaya became secondary. Even so, there had to be assurances that there would be no death god-like jobs going on around Brook. Then Brook became catalyst and witness to the beginnings of a breakdown. A fledging friendship might be a bit strained now, but it's no fault of Brook's and Hitsugaya knows that. Just... give him time. Still not sure what to make of Brook, but he seems a good enough man.
Relationship:
"I wouldn't argue if you played."
