Kris Allen in Disney World
Sometimes my job is awesome. Like, say, when Kris Allen comes to my workplace and I get make heart-eyes at him in person. \o/
I didn't get a good shot of the motorcade itself (he rode down Hollywood Boulevard in a car with Mickey) because someone blocked my shot at the last second. But trust me, it was possibly probably more amazing than the mental picture you have right now. KRIIIIS.
After that, there was a stage set up outside The American Idol Experience (TAIE) attraction and Kris fielded like 3 or 4 pre-selected crowd questions posed to him by one of the guys who plays the "Ryan"-type role in TAIE. I can't remember all the questions, but they were pretty standard: Favorite Idol contestant (Adam, and also Allison), favorite song he sang (Ain't No Sunshine and Heartless), etc.
He blushed a lot and was adorable and sang Heartless acoustic with his guitar (NNNGH). Then Minnie Mouse came onstage for an obvious photo op moment and you can tell he is SO not used to that yet. He was just slightly awkward and embarrassed about having Minnie swoon over him and his guitar. UUNFGH. Then once that was done he hugged her and waved at the crowd and was guided offstage, grinning at his feet like he can't quite believe this is his LIFE and I love him lots. ♥
