Ooooh, it's been such a long time since I've used my Harry Potter tag. It feels weird, but good. I was hoping to comment with, you know, WORDS and stuff, but it seems like I can't. Remus/Sirius gives me ALL THE POSSIBLE FEELINGS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD and your song choice is flawless and spot-on and I'm even afraid to download it because I'm nearly crying just by reading the lyrics and your notes, so, you know, tears will be everywhere.

And oh, I absolutely love the artwork. Sexy and adorable and so damn fitting.

Brb, downloading everything, crying my heart out, and possibly rereading Shoebox Project against my better judgement.

And I'm so glad you like the art and the song choices auuugh. It's really weird because the songs have been on my R/S playlist for seriously so long, and when I started turning them into a proper mix I suddenly wondered whether my reasoning would make any sense to anyone else. Like, you know, if the songs just worked for me because I'd been associating them with the pairing for so long. It's hard to see them from other people's point of view. SO I'm glad that you agree that they fit, basically.

♥ I WILL BE HERE TO CRY WITH YOU IF NECESSARY. I really hope you like it. (And omg reread Shoebox. IT IS BOTH AN AMAZING AND A TERRIBLE LIFE DECISION ALL IN ONE.)

see, i wouldn't mind at all to read your whys on the songs. *hint hint*

i hate Remus/Sirius. you know? i really hate it. there are just SO MANY FEELINGS with these two, it's not just a cute ship, with cute stories and cute endings, it's all so raw and tragic and real. Jo herself could come slap me in the back of the head and call me stupid for OTPing them, and write a thousand books on how they're not canon and i still wouldn't buy it. ugh. stupid boys with their stupid love and their stupid destinies. ;______;

now, if you'll excuse me, i gotta go cry under blankets while listening to this and clutching my copies of PoA and OotP, in which all the R/S parts are highlighted, mind you.

Auuugh, I know. All of this. It's the most painful ship ever and no one will ever be able to convince me it's not canon.

I hope you enjoy(ed) listening to it. If 'enjoy' is the right word. Probably not, when crying under blankets is involved. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.

But so sad :(
Of course, there's no way it's not going to be sad but, but ... I guess I always deal with their tragedy by just pretending it didn't happen like that. You know, that Sirius didn't go through the portal, and Remus wasn't killed in the Battle of Hogwarts (and neither were Fred or Tonks, for that matter) and, well, everyone lives happily ever after. And everything is fine, and nothing hurts.
I can't deal with it any other way, I guess. Self-delusion. Gotta love it ;)

Despite what I said recently (I was a bit rushed :)), I read the first two books again fairly recently (well, last year actually) but not PoA and onwards, which I really must get onto sometime soonish. Prisoner of Azkaban was always my favourite, and that mainly for Sirius, whom I loved pretty much from the first. Definitely my favourite adult character in the books :'(

Oh by the way, I've heard of the Shoebox Project but I've never read and I'm not sure what it is :( Do you have a link at all?

Thank you! Lol, it is completely understandable to just live on in denial when it comes to how things end for them...I'm halfway through OotP now and just DREADING Sirius's death. I have accepted the whole thing but I tend to try and focus on the Hogwarts days otherwise I do just cry whenever I think of them. (Totally going the self-delusion route when it comes to Fred though. NOPE, STILL ALIVE, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.)

I hope you get around to reading PoA soon! I wasn't that bothered about it when I first read it but it's definitely my favourite now.

And oooomg, you need The Shoebox Project in your life NOW! It's this amazing multipart fic set when the Marauders are at Hogwarts, and it's gorgeously written and really witty, and it has art too (that's what my icon is from!). It builds up beautifully - Remus and Sirius don't get together for a long, long time but the gen is just fantastic and the whole thing is basically canon to me. Everything is so well thought-out and just...I can't recommend it enough. The community where it ( ... )
