Exactly! It takes what, two minutes to hit reply and say you liked the fic, as opposed to the hours it took me to actually write the fic.

I feel bad when a post doesn't get comments and it's not even something I've put effort and love into, so I totally understand =)

Oh totally. I understand why you are doing it though I wouldn't personally. It is kind of...jarring when you can see through stats or whatever that people have read it, they just don't comment. :)

Some of my friends have been telling me for years to kick out the lurkers, but I felt it was a bit harsh. Until after I had posted the latest chapter, and 24 hrs later 60 different users had visited the entry and [only] three of them had left a comment. It made me feel so down, that I felt like never wanting to write again. I know it sounds dramatic, but I had just had it.
Hence the decision :/
