After spending a handwaved day with her father, Hoshi was at her wit's end and needed to vent to someone.

"Hey Hurley," she said, tapping on the open door. "You will not believe who showed up to see me graduate."

Hurley was mid-stuffing a suitcase and turned around. He still managed a smile, but it was obvious his heart was entirely in it. "Ghandi?" he said, trying for a joke.
