I have a story to share with you all!
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Neil Dylandy. Neil was a normal little boy with a perfect, happy family. He had a twin brother named Lyle and a younger sister named Amy.
Then one day, when Neil was 14 years old, there had been an attack by the terrorist group known as the KPSA. In case you didn't know, this was also the same terrorist group that Soran Ibrahim, or Setsuna F. Seiei, had been a part of. During the attack, Neil's sister and parents died. B'awwww, poor Neil Dylandy.
Neil eventually joined Celestial Being as a Gundam Meister. He was given the code name Lockon Stratos and assigned to pilot GN-002 Gundam Dynames. He was generally cheerful and nice to all the other Ptolemaios Meisters and crew. But if you wanted to know his real character, just call him a "terrorist" and observe his reaction. That's who Lockon really is!
Anyway, Lockon Stratos went into several battles to eradicate war and blah blah blah. Not that amusing so I'm skipping it.
The most important part of my little story is that during the battle between the joint forces of the HRL, AEU, and Union, Lockon got his eye injured while trying to save Tieria Erde. Tieria blamed himself for what happened and blah blah blah. B'awww Tieria; how sad. It was really your fault, though. Can't you just admit that Veda rejected you?
They decided to lock Lockon inside the Ptolemaios because they knew he was going to be an idiot and go out to battle, even with an injured eye. Still, Lockon acted like an idiot and left the Ptolemaios, with the GN Arms equipped. What comes after is as follows:

That's Throne Zwei he's battling against! Awesome, eh?
And so, in an ironic twist, although Setsuna managed to save Nena from certain death, he failed to save Lockon instead. And thus Lockon died hating the world and because of his own selfish reasons.
Oh yeah, and Allelujah Haptism was there too, somewhere. But he didn't have that much of a role in Season 1 so he only gets this line.
And so my story ends there! I hope you've learned a little bit more about Neil Dylandy a.k.a. Lockon Stratos. It's so convenient that I have a sister who isn't a Veda-reject, eh?
THE END!
