Things have definitely improved with coffee in the house. Now if we can find some decent tea as well, the larder will be in good shape.

There's still plenty to be done 'round this place, Ianto. Even with the sonic, there are still places that the supports need actual reinforcement, to say nothing of trying to get some electricity going. 'Boring' shouldn't set in for a while yet.

At the moment? I think the basic framework is all right, but I haven't been down to check for rot at water-level yet. Far as I know it's all stone down there, but without the plans for this place, I've sort of been checking things as I think of them. I was thinking I might climb down and take a look this afternoon.

I really hope that it won't last much longer. Do they play tricks like this often? Messing with our memories and whatnot?

[She bobs again, the gesture automatic, as is giving him the title.]

They play tricks fairly often, but they do not often last more than a week. Some are relatively innocent, as this seems to be. Others are most frightening and cruel.

Well, that's a new title for me. Please, just Ianto is fine.

I hardly believe tampering with people's memories is an innocent act, but you've been here longer than I and know the other things they've done.

[A little pause. He totally gets you on the boring thing, there, Ianto.] If you're that bored, we could always go for a look in the Wastelands or something. Maybe we'll find a pet unicorn to bring home for Owen.

[ Unicorns. Is there anything that doesn't actually exist. ] For Owen, Jack? It'd be all fun until it tries to gore him with a horn, then we all know who'd wind up feeding and cleaning up after it.

What even would we feed it, and could it be house trained, I wonder?
