Digital Download prices

I know that Dave at Blogography has complained about this many times, and I hope he will continue to do so, but digital download prices are sometimes just WEIRD

I think eventually we will ONLY have digital distribution for movies, books, games, and such... so this nasty trend will (hopefully) correct itself in time.

I've had much the same experience looking for one of the add-ons to Guild Wars. It's ~£5 boxed from various places, and £29.99 or something from the ingame store...

I think it just means that savvy consumers can save money but it screws the busy/less savvy consumer.

The moral of this story is, buyer beware! :)
