Well, I not only shopped Black Friday, I worked it.  Another lady at school works at Gap on Saturdays, and when I mentioned I might want to start working there part-time, she invited me to come work Thanksgiving weekend, and I took her up on it.  They opened at Midnight Thanksgiving night (Black Friday morning), so I was slated to work the 10pm-7am ( Read more... )

St. Ambrose decided not to offer 8th grade next year, and then to have 6th/7th as a combined class with one teacher. I just found out that changing your userpic is easier than it was when I joined livejournal. I added three pics, and I'm really excited. Here's one. My cat in my former tub. Thank goodness we left the pink bathroom fixtures behind at camp.

Did you know that sugar-free Jell-o weighs approximately 1/6 of sugary Jell-o? Todd and I were making a recipe that calls for two packages of Jell-o, so we got one of each, and I was SHOCKED when I picked up the packages. Regular Jello weighs 3 oz, and sugar-free weighs .44, I think. I just found that very interesting.

I would just like everyone to know that the Hoosier Lottery thinks I should play because 670,000 people have won a total of $4 million. That's their latest radio/tv campaign. Some quick math tells me that equals less than $8.00 per person. And how much money and time did they have to spend before they won ( Read more... )
